“AGT: Fantasy League” continued on February 5 with the second set of second round performances in “Semi-Finals 2.” The new spin-off series marks the return of former judge Mel B as she joins Simon Cowell, Heidi Klum and Howie Mandel in a head-to-head competition to mentor an all star ‘AGT’ act through the season to victory. Terry Crews is back once again for hosting duties.

Over eight weeks of shows, the judges’ Dream Teams of 10 will be narrowed down until only one stands as the newest AGT champion and takes home the $250,000 cash prize. That act will also give their mentor the first coach’s win in AGT history. In the four qualifiers, 10 acts performed with one receiving the week’s Golden Buzzer and five others advanced to this next round based on an audience vote.

The four acts that are already comfortably in “The Finals” by way of the Golden Buzzer are: Billy and Emily England with Team Mel from “Qualifiers 1,” Ramadhani Brothers with Team Howie from “Qualifiers 2,” Sofie Dossi with Team Heidi from “Qualifiers 3,” and Sainted with Team Simon from “Qualifiers 4.”

In “Semi-Finals 1,” Mel stole Aidan Bryant to her Dream Team from Heidi and Howie stole Kodi Lee to his Dream Team from Simon with the Golden Buzzers. Pack Drumline won the audience vote from the remaining acts to earn their spot in “The Finals” for Team Simon.

Monday night’s first semi-final featured second round performances from Darci Lynne, Grace Good and Yu Hojin on Team Heidi, Kseniya Simonova, Shadow Ace and V.Unbeatable on Team Howie, Sheldon Riley on Team Mel, and Adrian Stoica & Hurricane, Chapel Hart, and Musa Motha on Team Simon.

Below, read our minute-by-minute “AGT: Fantasy League” recap of episode 6 to find out what happened Monday, February 5 at 8:00 p.m. ET/PT. Then be sure to sound off in the comments section about your favorite acts on NBC’s reality TV show and who you think will ultimately become the newest AGT champion.

8:02 p.m. – Tonight, Heidi and Simon have the power of the Golden Buzzers in order to secure additional finale acts for their own teams. They could use the button in retaliation on Howie and Mel for stealing strong acts from their teams, but Simon said that he doesn’t have a strategy going into the episode. Heidi felt a bit more competitive going into the episode because she lost two of her favorite acts to Golden Buzzer steals in prior episodes.

8:03 p.m. – Team Heidi kicked off the night with the latest performance from hula hooping specialist Grace Good, a unique artist that knew she had to “level it up” in order to impress Simon and keep the support of the fans on her side. Following her fiery performance tonight, Heidi said that Grace “delivered the danger and the beauty.” Howie called it “by far the best performance” she’s had because it was “the most exciting, the most beautiful.” Mel thought she was “slick” and “well-rehearsed” and Simon took credit for helping her focus the performance in one area rather than throwing every trick at the wall.

8:11 p.m. – Sand artist Kseniya Simonova was up next representing Howie’s Dream Team with a new visual story about the preciousness of life and parenting. Mel said that she understood the story this time around and it “made much more sense” because it was so personal. Howie agreed, calling it a beautiful story, and Heidi referred to it as a “beautiful guessing game” that the audience loves to follow along with. Simon said that seeing her art in real life is “so unique and so beautiful” and he appreciates that she shared her own story with everyone in this performance.

8:24 p.m. – “AGT” legend and champion Darci Lynne took the stage next in her follow-up to a new twist on her art form that she put forward last time. Despite the criticism Darci Lynne received for that performance, she decided to push the boundary further away from ventriloquism this time by leaving the puppets behind and singing an original song on her own for the first time. Heidi warned her that now she “falls into the category of all the singers” because of this decision and thinks it will be “even harder” for her to advance, but they both agreed it is the right decision for her to “try a new path.” Heidi applauded Darci Lynne for following her instinct and Howie thanked her for “sharing another side.” Mel reminded Darci Lynne that it’s a competition and she came to it with a specific act, but it was her decision and “that’s all that matters.” Simon, who looked bored throughout her performance, acknowledged that she disregarded their advice and still said “good for you for sticking with your guns.”

8:35 p.m. – After having to perform by satellite last time because he wasn’t able to make it to the United States in time, Musa Motha made his “AGT” stage debut tonight for Team Simon. Following an emotional routine about making the impossible possible, Musa received a standing ovation from the entire theater. Simon did not hesitate to offer his response to Musa, acknowledging that there’s “something amazing about you” and the audience was captivated. Telling him that “The Final wouldn’t be the same without you,” Simon hit the Golden Buzzer and guaranteed that Musa would continue to compete on his Dream Team for the championship.

8:48 p.m. – Mel’s only artist tonight was Sheldon Riley with his rendition of the piano ballad “golden hour” by JVKE. Ahead of the performance, Mel told Simon that she wasn’t a fan of the song choice at the beginning but that it grew on her. After the performance, she told Sheldon that he “took it to the next level.” Heidi complimented his “bold” fashion and that he “gives a little extra.” Howie called him “one of the best singers on the show,” but tonight he was “way off.” Simon concluded by agreeing with Howie that “tonight wasn’t one of your best nights” and thinks he should be the front person in a band.

8:59 p.m. – Team Simon returned to the stage with the reigning “AGT” champions Adrian Stoica & Hurricane for their latest installment of the story of their friendship. Simon kicked off the comments by calling it “absolutely amazing” and acknowledging how hard it is for them to come up with new ideas every time, but they do. Mel gave Adrian props for all of his own karate moves in the act and Howie said they “definitely stepped it up.” Heidi called them “so impressive and so adorable” and after teasing Simon that she might steal them with the Golden Buzzer, she decided to plea to the audience that they vote them through because she has her eye on a different act.

9:09 p.m. – Heidi brought her last team member to the stage with Yu Hojin’s magic routine that told the story of love through slight of hand tricks. Heidi said that he “always invents something new” with his acts and “keeps surprising us.” Mel admitted to not getting the story he was telling with the magic and managed to get a couple people in the audience to agree with her. Howie countered that it doesn’t matter if you got the story, the magic was effective. Simon also admitted to being confused, creating a clear divide on the judges’ dais about whether he did enough to get through to “The Finals.”

9:20 p.m. – Simon has put a lot of time and effort into his mentorship of Chapel Hart to help prepare them for this season. Last time they had their redemption arc, and so this performance was about stepping forward with a new moment. Simon called them “the real deal” because they write their own songs and they’ve “gotten better and better and better.” Mel told them that they’ve helped her like “country pop music” despite it not being her favorite genre. Howie said they’re “amazing” and Heidi added that they always put a smile on her face.

9:32 p.m. – In V.Unbeatable’s package they explained that the “V” in their name came from one of their members that lost his life falling from one of their tricks. Tonight they decided to push the envelope as far as they could in order to fulfill the legacy of their friend Vikas. With the power of the Golden Buzzer in her hands, Heidi called their performance “insane” and like “a movie that we’re watching.” Mel applauded their music choice and timing, Simon referred to them as a “really difficult act to get right,” and Howie called them his favorite act of all time and believing them to be exiting the stage cheered that they remain on Team Howie. That’s when Heidi cut in to cut his dream short by saying “No, you’re not anymore” and brought them over to Team Heidi with one swift swipe of the Golden Buzzer.

9:45 p.m. – The final act of the night was Shadow Ace who required Simon’s assistance on stage in order to perform his latest shadow trick storytelling. In the story he used Simon’s face to and played with it by creating the image of a dog licking it, another character picking its nose, and others dancing on and around it. Howie thought he absolutely “stepped it up” with his “funniest, best routine yet.” Heidi called what he does “so simple, but it has a huge effect.” Mel thinks that he’s “just brilliant” and Simon said being up close made him realize “how clever the act really is.”

9:55 p.m. – With only one more spot available in “The Finals,” Terry brought the eight acts to the stage in order to announce the top three vote-getters from tonight’s “Semi-Final.” Those three acts were Adrian Stoica & Hurricane, Kseniya Simonova, and Shadow Ace. From that narrowed down group, the only one that earned enough votes to make it to the final round was Shadow Ace.
