The Cleveland Cavaliers are not in top form right now.

The midseason addition of Isaiah Thomas to the lineup is clearly causing some growing pains. After posting a win against the Portland Trail Blazers in Thomas’ first game last Tuesday, it has been mostly downhill since.

The Cavs rested Thomas for a road game they lost to the Boston Celtics the next night.

A 127-99 thrashing at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves with Thomas back in the lineup on Monday added to their woes in arguably their worst performance of the season.

During an ugly start Thursday against the Raptors that led to a 65-40 Toronto lead at halftime, LeBron James had apparently seen enough.

Coach ’em up, LeBron.

James was the only player producing much of anything in that first half with 13 points. No other starter had scored more than five, while Thomas posted an atrocious goose egg on 0-of-10 shooting.

Things only got worse in the second half as the Raptors kept the foot on the gas en route to a 133-99 win, posting their highest point total of the season.

Already fielding one of the league’s worst defenses, the Cavs have added one of the league’s worst defenders to their lineup in Thomas. That’s going to be a tough problem to solve moving forward.
