With the murder mystery/comedy’s Season 2 finale rapidly approaching (it drops on Apple TV+ Wednesday, Sept. 6), we’re breaking out our bifocals and magnifying glasses as we deep-dive into the clues and ask ourselves: Who killed billionaire Edgar Minnows?

The 10-episode sophomore season follows Aniq (Sam Richardson) and Zoe (Zoë Chao) as they attend her sister’s (Poppy Liu) wedding at a fancy, private estate. But shortly after the wedding and subsequent afterparty, the groom, Edgar (Zach Woods), is found dead face down in bed. (His poor little lizard Roxana didn’t make it either — R.I.P.) At the party attended by Grace and Edgar’s immediate family, exes, an estranged uncle and more, Aniq and Zoe (with the help of Tiffany Haddish’s Det. Danner, of course) question everyone on the scene to try and figure out whodunit.

Below, we added two new suspects and some brand new clues to our list. Review the evidence thus far, then vote in our poll to let us know who you think is the killer. And if you have any other potential perpetrators on your list, hit the comments and sell us your case!

Grace

Grace
Grace

“The bride did it” seems a little too on the nose, right? But even though Grace seems sweet, what do we know? She could have an evil side to her (and be the world’s greatest actress — that scream!). We know she drugged Edgar’s drink with what she says was Adderall, but the woman could absolutely be lying about that. That drug could’ve been anything! Plus, since she didn’t want to sign the prenup, could she have been after Edgar’s money all along? Does the fact that Zoe vouches for her mean anything? Maybe so, maybe no. Then, there’s that whole Hannah ordeal…

Hannah

Hannah
Hannah

Edgar’s sister came clean to Danner and Aniq about her affair with Grace, but were Hannah’s feelings strong enough to bring her to kill her own brother? Talk about dark (and possibly psychotic). There’s also the fact that the poison came from a Devil’s Trumpet flower planted in Hannah’s garden. But then again, anyone on the premises that weekend had access, since it was used for the center pieces. Is that enough to help Hannah’s case? And while Grace seems like she knows something, she tells Zoe she really doesn’t think Hannah did it.

Travis

Travis
Travis

Not only does Travis give off major weirdo vibes, but he’s also Grace’s friggin’ ex-boyfriend! So, major motive there by default. Not only was his folder full of Edgar’s personal details very unsettling, but he was right outside the door the second Grace found the body. And when he later investigated the scene with Zoe, didn’t it seem like he tried to break that teapot on purpose? Did he accidentally leave fingerprints on it somehow? Does the teapot have any significance whatsoever? Travis was also convinced that Edgar was running a tech scam, but could that perhaps just be a story to help cover his tracks in the midst of this entire inquisition? Simply put: We aren’t crossing ol’ Travis’ name off our list just yet.

Sebastian

Sebastian
Sebastian

We could ramble on forever regarding the evidence and shadiness surrounding Edgar’s (former) business partner. First, Edgar fired him, so revenge could definitely be a motive. And despite the fact that Sebastian says he was after his rare, typo’d baseball card that he lost to Edgar years back, we also know that he knew the whereabouts of Edgar’s crypto keys, which are worth a whole lotta cabbage. And let’s be real: He’s smart, talented and has experience working long cons. We even saw him mimicking Edgar’s voice on business calls after parting ways with his partner! We don’t trust him as far as we can throw him (which isn’t very far, since he’s a grown man), but does that necessarily mean he’s a killer?

Zoe also overheard Sebastian whispering to Isabel, “It’s all going smoothly. No hiccups yet. We’ll get this done.” Like we said, we could go on about this faux-British rascal for-ever.

Ulysses

Ulysses
Ulysses

Grace wasn’t the only one gettin’ a piece of side action this season. In Ulysses’ feature episode, we learn that Vivian helped Ulysses deal with his PTSD after the war, and all of their dance competitions and closeness created some sparks. The affair was also the reason why “Funcle” Ulysses wound up leaving home for good when Zoe and Grace were still young. When Edgar tracked him down, Edgar suggested that Ulysses could be Grace’s father, and if he is, his bride deserved to have her real father at her wedding. But if that does turn out to be true, could Ulysses have killed Edgar in order to prevent him from spilling the tea? And those allegations Sebastian made about seeing Ulysses do something peculiar with a glass behind the bar? It was so he could secure some of Grace’s DNA for a paternity test. Or so he says… do you believe him?

Feng

Feng
Feng

Feng seems pretty innocent, right? Well, that’s exactly what we thought of Yasper in Season 1! The King of Bing had been looking to secure financing for his fancy new food truck business, but Edgar promptly shut him down, stating that he hated Feng’s well-crafted Chinese dessert. Did the lack of respect send Feng into a fit of rage? Feng could’ve easily poisoned the baobing, and since Grace hadn’t signed the prenup, she stood a chance of inheriting a lot of cash-money if Edgar somehow wound up dead. Money that could’ve been used to help the biz. Is that enough motive to make Feng a killer?

Isabel

Isabel
Isabel

Let’s start with this very shady line: “I’m on to your games, Edgar. You’re not going to get away with this.” Sounds pretty threatening, but could a mother really have killed her son? Isabel’s sanity was certainly in question throughout Episode 9, with her wildly extravagant purchases, memory loss and grief. Then there’s the factor of the swapped piece of cake. Isabel was sure that Edgar was trying to harm her, so she swapped pieces with him when he wasn’t looking. Aniq debunks this theory though, stating that the timeline of digestion-to-hallucination-to-death doesn’t match up. Plus, Roxana didn’t eat any of it (the lizard hated cake, if you’ll so kindly recall). But then again, Isabel’s habit of popping mystery pills and her affinity for gin makes her a rather unreliable narrator. If she is a murderer, isn’t that a little too on the nose?

Someone else?

Have any wild theories? Could Zoe have done it to protect her sister? Are we giving Aniq a pass? Let us know your best guesses ahead of Wednesday’s finale and be sure to vote in our poll below!
