Two of the biggest international stars, Wizkid and Davido, had a tense back-and-forth online over their prevalence in Afrobeat music Monday (April 29).

Unprovoked, Wizkid seemingly sent a shot at Davido when he wrote on X, “U and all ur crew plus ur pant washer songwriter go to sleep at night thinking you actually got anything on me in music.” He then followed up with another post saying, “U know what… no point. Delusional ni**as.”

Although Wiz didn’t say any names, the “Blow Your Mind” artist responded to him with, “We not delusional. You’re a sick man.”

The two continued their back and forth, with the “Essence” artist posting a video of Davido crying and laughing, and Davido responding, “Exactly why I stopped wasting my clout. And jeopardizing millions of my USD on someone whose career was resurrected a few years ago just to die again.”

He then took shots at Wizkid’s shoe size, reminiscent of what Drake said about Kendrick in his “Push Ups” diss song.

“Size 7 shoe. Ni**a shop at footlocker kids,” he said.

Waving the white flag, Wiz then wrote on X, “I don tire. I dey go sleep. Jesus is King.”

However, Davido had one more thing to say via his Instagram Story.

“AINT SH*T DROPPING I HAVE HITS!! HE DONT !!” he wrote in all caps. “TELL HIM LETS DROP FRIDAY TOGETHER!! IF DEM BORN HIM WELL HE SHOULD DROP IM READY!! I GOT 80 HITS IN THE CAN READY!! AYO PLEASE!!! ACTIVATE ME!! NO FT !! SOLO SHORT BI**H!!”

He added, “So funny how the whole industry scared of a 4ft ni**a me I short too oo but if u see am in person u go just giggle idiot.”

The two international stars have collabed in the past on songs including, “My Way” and “Feel (Remix).” However, they’ve reportedly had a rift for years as two popular African artists crossing over from Nigeria to America.

But according to Davido, the fans instigated their unconfirmed “beef” until it became real.

“It actually started with the fans,” Davido explained while visiting Drink Champs in 2023. “It was the fans going at it. We was f*cking around and he announced like, ‘Yo, I’m going on tour with Davido next year.’ The fans were so angry.”
