Toni Storm will defend the gold at AEW Double or Nothing.
On the May 1 episode of AEW Dynamite, Serena Deeb faced Mariah May. Storm watched the match from ringside and eventually threw in the towel, so Deeb was declared the winner. The broadcast team then confirmed that Deeb would challenge Storm for the title at AEW Double or Nothing.

Deeb, a former NWA World Women’s Champion, missed over a year due to injury, and she returned to AEW in January 2024. Up to this point, she has gone undefeated since her return. Deeb has set her sights on Storm in recent weeks, putting them on an inevitable collision course.
