All Elite Wrestling presented an action-packed episode of AEW Rampage on June 30.
Claudio Castagnoli will defend the ROH World Championship on the June 30 episode of AEW Rampage.
All Elite Wrestling has announced the card for Friday’s show, and Komander will challenge Castagnoli for the title. Elsewhere on the show, former AEW Women’s World Champion Hikaru Shida will face Taya Valkyrie, and Shawn Spears will face The Blade.
Plus, Matt Hady and Brother Zay will face QT Marshall and Johnny TV.
The AEW Rampage results are as follows:
Match 1: Claudio Castagnoli (c) defeats Komander via stoppage
In the opening match of the night, Castagnoli retained his title in grand fashion, overcoming Komander late with sheer power. Although Komander made things close throughout, even nearly putting away Castagnoli with a big powerbomb, it was Claudio who would do just enough to retain.
As the match came to an end, Komander hit a big tornado DDT and Phoenix splash for two consecutive near falls. After going for another splash, however, Komander was caught in mid-air by Castagnoli, who dropped him with a massive Swiss Death for the win.

Match 2: Shawn Spears defeats The Blade via pinfall
In the second match of the night, Spears was able to take things to The Blade early and often. After dropping him with a quick hit, Spears then threw him outside of the ring, and began getting some hits in on the apron. The Butcher would eventually get to help his partner while the referee was distracted, but it still wasn’t enough.
Toward the end of the match, Spears and The Blade traded slaps with each other, before Spears took down The Blade and then hit the C4 for the pin and win.

Match 3: QT Marshall & Johnny TV defeat Matt Hardy & Brother Zay via pinfall
In Johnny TV’s first official match back since his surprise return, he and QT Marshall handled Hardy and Zay in a big win. Midway through the match, it looked like Hardy and Zay would get some momentum thanks to a Zay hot tag to Hardy, who came in and nearly flipped the script.
However, QT and Johnny would regain composure, and after some help from Harley Cameron — who distracted the referee late — QT was able to hit Zay below the belt with the turnbuckle. This let Johnny TV hit a huge move on Zay for the win.
After the match, Ethan Page came running down to the ring to stop any shenanigans from happening, and was promptly taken down by Hardy and Zay. However, Daddy Ass and Anthony Bowens came running down as well to chase the QTV crew away.
Is Ethan Page… protecting Matt Hardy?

Match 4: Hikaru Shida defeats Taya Valkyrie via pinfall
In a relatively quick main event match to end the night, Shida would come out on top after getting some early hits in on Valkyrie. Shida hit a running knee to start and promptly began getting to work setting up a chair on the outside of the ring, but couldn’t utilize it as Valkyrie ran off.
After chasing her around for a moment, Valkyrie looked to gain some momentum by hitting Shida’s knee into the ringpost, trying to work on her injury.
As the match came to a close, Shida then began taking over, hitting a big running elbow into Valkyrie before countering a Road to Valhalla attempt to quickly roll up Taya for the win.
Wow! An injured Shida just pulled a win over Taya Valkyrie out of nowhere!
