AEW Dynamite saw a decrease in viewership on May 15.

According to Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer, 672,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, drawing a 0.23 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last week’s episode, when 711,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also dropped slightly from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.24 rating in the same demographic.

Dynamite saw a decrease in viewership this week as it once again faced stiff competition from two NBA Playoff games on TNT and an NHL Playoff game on ESPN. Dynamite placed sixth on cable for the day behind NBA and NHL coverage.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley defeating Jeff Cobb and Kyle Fletcher in the opening contest.

AEW World Champion Swerve Strickland defeated Brian Cage. Following the matchup, Nick Wayne and Killswitch attacked Strickland.

Timeless Toni Storm defeated Harley Cameron in women’s action. Storm and Serena Deeb stared each other down from the stage following the match.

The main event saw Kazuchika Okada defeat Dax Harwood to retain the International Championship. Following the match, the Elite attacked, and Team AEW got a new fourth man in a returning Darby Allin for Anarchy in the Arena to close the show.
