AEW Dynamite viewership saw a decrease on December 7, which was headlined by an AEW World Tag Team Title match between The Acclaimed and FTR.

According to Showbuzz Daily, 840,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, and it drew a 0.29 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership was down from the November 30 episode when 870,000 viewers tuned in. The demo rose from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.26 rating in the same demographic.

The viewership decrease last night can be directed toward the Spectrum TV outage last night that affected 30 million homes in the United States last night, according to Dave Meltzer. Who tweeted out:

Despite the decrease in viewership, AEW Dynamite took the third spot in the demographic among cable originals overall Wednesday night. On cable, they were only defeated by ESPN’s coverage of NBA Basketball, according to Showbuzz Daily.

This week’s show kicked off with the Dynamite Diamond Battle Royale, which was won by Ricky Starks. The main event saw The Acclaimed defeat FTR to successfully retain their AEW World Tag Team Titles.
