All Elite Wrestling returns to its home at Daily’s Place in Jacksonville for the upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite. The show will deal with the aftermath of AEW Dynasty. Superstars advertised for the show include Bryan Danielson, Mercedes Moné, and Swerve Strickland.

AEW has confirmed three matches at the time of the writing. Fans can expect the promotion to announce new matches in the lead-up to the show. Let’s take a look at what’s on tap for the April 24, 2024, episode of AEW Dynamite.

Mina Shirakawa vs. Anna Jay

Anna Jay lost to Mariah May in their rematch on the April 10, 2024, episode of Dynamite. Jay launched a post-match assault on May. We saw the arrival of May’s former Stardom partner in Mina Shirakawa to make the save. The two women shared a kiss to signal their renewed alliance.

AEW announced Mina Shirakawa would take on Anna Jay in what marks the Stardom superstar’s in-ring debut for the Jacksonville-based promotion. Will Anna Jay get payback for the humiliation she suffered at the hands of Mina or will Mina stand tall in her AEW debut?

Chuck Taylor makes his decision on AEW Dynamite

Chuck Taylor watched as Best Friends imploded in the lead-up to AEW Dynasty. For those unaware, Trent Barretta took out Orange Cassidy with a running knee on the April 3 episode of AEW Dynamite.

Barretta would defeat Matt Sydal at the AEW Dynasty Zero Hour pre-show. A relentless Barretta refused to let go of his choke hold on Sydal prompting Chuck Taylor to chase him out of the ring. Barretta told Chuckie T he had until Wednesday to pick a side.

Chris Jericho segment

Chris Jericho’s battle with HOOK reached its decisive end at AEW Dynasty. The Lionheart defeated the Cold-Hearted Handsome Devil for the FTW Championship. The veteran was on the receiving end of the young champion’s offense for most part of the match.

HOOK’s defeat marked his third official singles loss in AEW. His previous two losses had come at the hands of Jack Perry and Samoa in 2023 and 2024 respectively. What will the new FTW Champion have to say?

We’ll find out on AEW Dynamite.

Jon Moxley (c) vs. Powerhouse Hobbs – IWGP World Heavyweight Championship

Jon Moxley made history nearly two weeks ago at an NJPW event. Mox became the first superstar to hold the top WWE, AEW, and NJPW titles. The Purveyor of Violence defeated Tetsuya Naito to become the new IWGP World Heavyweight Champion at Windy City Riot.

Mox made an appearance on the final Dynamite before Dynasty. He’d cut a promo before saving Claudio Castagnoli from the Don Callis Family later during the night. AEW confirmed Mox will defend his title against Hobbs.

Willow Nightingale’s Championship celebration on AEW Dynamite

Willow Nightingale beat Julia Hart for the AEW TBS Championship at Dynasty this past Sunday. The new champion will be at Daily’s Place to celebrate her huge win alongside Kris Statlander, Stokely Hathaway and the fans.

“My friends are throwing me a party and you’re all invited,” the champion tweeted. Will the celebration proceed smoothly or will Willow’s Double or Nothing opponent, Mercedes Mone, crash the party?

Swerve Strickland (c) vs. Kyle Fletcher – AEW World Championship Eliminator

Swerve Strickland finally put an end to Samoa Joe’s AEW title run. The challenger dethroned the champion in the main event of AEW Dynasty. Tony Khan announced Swerve will take on ROH TV Champion Kyle Fletcher in an eliminator when AEW returns to Jacksonville tonight.

This will be Swerve’s first match since his historic win at Dynasty. Will the champion continue his path of dominance or has Don Callis another dirty trick up his sleeve? Find out tonight on AEW Dynamite.
