AEW Announces Pillars Tournament, Winner To Face MJF At Double Or Nothing

AEW announced a new tournament on the April 19 episode of AEW Dynamite.
Titled the Pillars Tournament, the competition will feature “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry, Sammy Guevara, and Darby Allin. The winner of the tournament will challenge MJF for the AEW World Championship at AEW Double or Nothing.
MJF announced the news during an in-ring segment with Perry, Guevara, and Allin. After all three began taking shots at each other, the champion came to the stage. MJF then told his fellow pillars to stop fighting over him before announcing the title tournament. He revealed that Allin would have a first-round bye, as hew drew Darby’s name out of a hat.

The tournament kicked off on the April 19 episode of AEW Dynamite; Perry faced Guevara in the main event, and interference from MJF helped Guevara score the win. “The Spanish God” will face Allin on the April 26 episode of AEW Dynamite, and the winner will face MJF at AEW Double or Nothing.
