Aerosmith announces return to road for ‘Peace Out’ farewell tour; rescheduled Chicago stop in early 2025

CHICAGO — If you were cryin’ when Aerosmith left ya hanging with concert tickets, don’t worry.

They didn’t forget ya.

The legendary rock band has announced that its farewell tour, “Peace Out,” will return to the road this year, which includes a long-awaited stop in Chicago in early 2025.

The tour, which includes The Black Crowes — fresh off their first release in nearly 15 years — has been halted and shows postponed multiple times due to vocal chord issues suffered by Aerosmith front man Steven Tyler, who was diagnosed with a fractured larynx.

But the band is ready to rock out again, announcing its return to the road on Wednesday.

The tour originally kicked off in September 2023. HERE, you can check out the video first released to promote the “Peace Out” farewell tour on Aerosmith’s YouTube page.

The tour, which has also added three new dates, will pick up again Friday, Sept. 20, at PPG Paints Arena in Pittsburgh.

The tour stops at the United Center on Sunday, Jan. 19, 2025, giving Chicagoans another chance to catch Aerosmith and The Black Crowes.

The “Peace Out” United Center date was first scheduled for Sept. 15, 2023, then postponed until Feb. 14, 2024. But the show was delayed again due to Tyler’s vocal chord issues.

If you had tickets to one of those shows, you’re good. All previously purchased tickets will be honored for rescheduled shows. Ticketholders will receive more information via email.

The tour is scheduled to conclude on Wednesday, Feb. 26, at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo.
