Aerosmith have announced an extensive schedule for their farewell tour.

As teased last week by the appearance of their logo at a number of US arenas, the band have given their farewell bow the title Peace Out, and in announcing the run, the Boston group say, “It’s not goodbye it’s PEACE OUT! Get ready and walk this way, you’re going to get the best show of our lives.”

A press statement for the tour reads: 'After 50 years, 10 world tours, and playing for over 100 million fans… it’s time for one last go.'

The 40-date North American tour will kick off in Philadelphia, PA, on September 2, with stops in iconic arenas across the US and Canada, including Los Angeles’ Kia Forum and New York’s Madison Square Garden before wrapping in Canada at the Montreal Bell Centre on January 26. The tour will see the band make a stop in Boston for a hometown show on New Year’s Eve. Support at all shows will come from the Black Crowes.

The band have also confirmed that drummer Joey Kramer – who missed the band's Las Vegas residency in 2022 – will not be joining the tour. The band say, "While Joey Kramer remains a beloved founding member of Aerosmith, he has regrettably made the decision to sit out the currently scheduled touring dates to focus his full attention on his family and health. Joey’s unmistakable and legendary presence behind the drum kit will be sorely missed."

Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday, May 5. Aerosmith's last studio album, Music from Another Dimension!, was released back in 2012.
