The universes of four hit Adult Swim shows are about to get a bit bigger.

The adult animation network announced on Wednesday the production of digital short spinoff series based on characters from “Rick and Morty,” “Robot Chicken,” “Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell” and “Aqua Teen Hunger Force.” Each mini-series will consist of eight to 10 episodes and will be available globally on Adult Swim’s digital platforms.

“We see it as our mission to put something hilarious within a fingers’ swipe of anyone on the planet,” Michael Ouweleen, president of Adult Swim, said in a press release. “These shorts are a way to meet the next generation of Adult Swim fans where they are, while giving our creators another format to play in and innovate around.”

The “Rick and Morty” spinoff is titled “The Vindicators,” and follows Supernova, Vance Maxiumus, Alan Rails, Crocubot and Noob Noob on their adventures of fighting crime, saving (or destroying) worlds and causing trouble with Rick and Morty. “The Vindicators” is executive produced by Erica Rosbe, Sarah Carbiener, Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland.

“Alabama Jackson,” a stop-motion mini-series based on the character of the same name created by Donald Faison during a “Robot Chicken” San Diego Comic Con panel, details the many mishaps of the charming time traveler. “Alabama Jackson” is created by Faison and produced by Stoopid Buddy Studios.

The Emmy-nominated live-action show “Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell” is returning for a fifth season, but this time as an animated series. A workplace comedy set in hell, the animated version of the show will see the return of Gary (Henry Zebrowski), and, of course, Satan (Matt Servitto). “Your Pretty Face Is Going to Hell: The Animated Series” is created by Casper Kelly and Dave Willis and produced by Williams Street.

Lastly, “Aqua Teen Hunger Force” spinoff “Aquadonk Side Pieces” will explore the lives of side characters and villains such as The Mooninites, The Plutonians, MC Pee Pants, The Frat Aliens, Happy Time Harry, Handbanana and The Cybernetic Ghost of Christmas Past. “Aquadonk Side Pieces” is created by Matt Maiellaro and Dave Willis.

The four short series will premiere in the 2021-2022 season.
