Jesse Jane, an adult film star who also appeared on Entourage, is dead. She was 43.

The actress — whose real name was Cindy Taylor — and her boyfriend Brett Hasenmueller were found dead in their home in Moore, Oklahoma, reports KFOR. The Moore Police Department was called to Jane and Hasenmuller's home to conduct a wellness check on Wednesday after they had not been heard from for days, according to the outlet.

Although a medical examiner will confirm the cause of death, it is believed Jane died from a drug overdose, Lt. Francisco Franco of the Moore Police Department told The New York Times. Franco said Jane and Hasenmuller's deaths remain under investigation.

She retired from the adult industry in 2007, explaining to GQ in a 2018 interview how the industry had changed during her career.

"I got into porn right at the perfect time, when porn stars mattered. Porn stars back then, they were big, glamorous. You walked into a room, you turned heads," she told the outlet. "Everybody knew who you were because they actually had to buy your product or DVDs, everything. Porn was so naughty, but everybody watched it. Now, no one makes money like they did back then even with toy deals and appearances."

Brian Gross, a publicist for the porn industry, remembered Jane as "a vivacious person who had an absolute and ultimate love for life" in a statement to PEOPLE.

"There is not one person in the adult industry who didn’t spend time with her, whether onset or in a social setting, that she didn’t make smile or laugh or both. She would light up a room as soon as she walked in. Her laugh would echo wherever she was," his statement continued.

"She was a performer during an era where adult films were seen all over the world, and the promotions were massive," Gross said. "She made sure that she gave her all, not only in performing but in promotion as well. I will personally miss her very much for the reasons above. Her smile was everything."
