Halloween isn't just for youngsters.
From a cult-classic movie experience and a nerdy burlesque show to Halloween-theme adult book fairs and a ballet adaptation of a Shakespearean ghost story, this spooky season has plenty of treats in store for grown-ups, too.

Frontier City Fright Fest, Oklahoma City
When: Weekends through Oct. 29.

The Boom's 'Rocky Horror Picture Show,' OKC
When: Through Oct. 31.

The OKC live entertainment venue's annual interactive movie experience pays homage to the 1975 film adaptation of "The Rocky Horror Show," and tickets include a meatloaf dinner. Admission to The Boom is for people 21 and older.
Castle of Muskogee's Halloween Festival
When: 5:30 to 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays in October.

The 60-acre attraction offers an array of thrills, from the Castle Train and the Torture Chamber to the Zombie Hunt and Haunted Hayride. The castle's online guide ranks each Halloween offering on a scale of 1 to 5 jack o' lanterns, with one representing all-ages "fall fun" and five meaning "consider yourself warned."
'Night of the Living Dead,' OKC

'The Antelope Party,' OKC

Oklahoma City Repertory Theater will open its 2023-2024 season by venturing into the world of Bronies and Pegasisters. Eric John Meyer's dark comedy with horror and thriller elements centers on a rural Pennsylvania group of adult fans of the animated series "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" whose enchanted role-playing is disrupted by fear and paranoia.
'The Wonder,' OKC
When: Through Oct. 29.

3rd Act Theatre Company will present the Sooner State premiere of Oklahoma playwright Maggie Lou Rader's American Midwest Gothic ghost story, inspired by the first documented case of spiritual possession in America.
'Halloween' Drive-in Double Feature, OKC
When: 6:30 p.m. Oct. 14.

Spend Friday the 13th weekend at the drive-in with a double feature of horror movies: 2007's "Trick ‘r Treat" and the 1978 classic "Halloween." The Winchester is a cash-only business with an on-site ATM. Tickets are available at the gate and are $10 for adults and children 11 and older, $5 for youngsters ages 3 to 10, and free for children younger than 3.
'Black Sabbath,' OKC

The museum's after-hours program for adults 21 and older continues with activities inspired by the year's most popular movie and the season's trendiest Halloween costume: "Barbie." Speed through the doll-themed track Power Wheel Racing, transform or deconstruct dolls in the Make-Overs station and immerse in the colorful world of chemistry at the Universal Indicator/Pink pH Test station.
Freakfest, OKC

After the success of its first adult book fair back in the summer, Full Circle brings the trendy event back with an autumnal twist: The fall event will feature two costume contests judged by age, a decorated or painted uncarved pumpkin contest, seasonal drinks and food, Halloween-themed alcoholic beverages, face painting, a free photo booth and plenty of horror and fantasy books to purchase.
Silent Sundays with 'Nosferatu,' OKC
