Adorable Kid From Viral Video Finally Meets Lester Holt
A few weeks ago, an adorable 7-year-old boy named Jaden turned down an interview with NBC affiliate KGW-TV’s Drew Carney at the airport in Portland, Ore. Drew was trying to interview Jaden during a live shot, and Jaden asked about Lester Holt. When Drew wondered why Jaden brought up the NBC Nightly News anchor, Jaden replied, “I usually see him more on the news than you,” and then walked away.
On Tuesday, Jaden got to meet Lester Holt. Jaden and his family stopped by the NBC Nightly News studios in New York City and got a tour with Lester. The two hung out in Lester’s office, where Jaden played the violin for Lester and the Nightly News anchor offered his adorable little fan some tips on his electric bass guitar.
Lester and the NBC Nightly News team shared pictures and video of their day on Tuesday night’s broadcast and throughout the day on social media. Jaden even got to read the teleprompter like he was the anchor of the show, and after showing Jaden’s performance on the Nightly News, Lester joked, “Well, they know the secret of how easy it is now.”
