Adorable Corgi Who Played Cheddar On 'Brooklyn Nine-Nine' Died At Age 13

A beloved character from "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" has died.

Stewart Crossed the Rainbow Bridge

Stewart, best known as Cheddar on the show "Brooklyn Nine-Nine," died this week at age 13.

The corgi played Capt. Holt's obedient and adorable dog, who was trusted enough to take part in the shows's famous "Halloween Heists."

Cheddar first appeared in season 1, and was a welcome sight as the series progressed.

Sad Day

On his final day, his owner took Stewart to the beach, which he says was his dog's favorite place. Later, Stewart was treated to a lunch of In-N-Out Burger. It sounds like they had a nice day together.

Stewart's vet arrived a bit later to send him to doggy heaven:

"Stewart went to sleep peacefully in my arms while listening to the sounds of the ocean."

We'll Miss You Stewart!

His owner added a special note about Stewart:

"He was a one in a million kind of dog. He was my supaah staah."

Not a dry eye in the house. Rest in Peace, Cheddar/Stewart; you were a good dog.
