Adivi Sesh & Shruti Haasan Set To Star In Annapurna Studios’ Pan-Indian Action Drama

EXCLUSIVE: South Indian stars Adivi Sesh and Shruti Haasan will head the cast of an as-yet-untitled pan-Indian action drama that is being produced by leading Telugu production house Annapurna Studios.

The project, which will be shot in Telugu and Hindi, marks the second Hindi production for Sesh after 2022 action drama Major, in which he played the lead character.

Annapurna Studios head Supriya Yarlagadda is producing the film, which will also mark the feature directorial debut of Shaneil Deo, a cinematographer who was born and raised in the U.S. Suniel Narang is co-producing with Sesh and Deo co-writing the script and sharing story credits.

The producers of the film said that every scene and dialogue will be shot separately in Hindi as well as Telugu. “It is being treated differently according to the cultural nuances of each language,” the producers said.

Annapurna Studios is one of the leading production houses in the Hyderabad-based, Telugu-language film industry (aka Tollywood), with recent productions including Bangarraju and Anubhavinchu Raja.

Deo’s credits as cinematographer include Telugu blockbusters such as Kshanam and Goodachari, which also starred Sesh. Deo also directed coming-of-age short film Layla, which screened in Cannes’ Short Film Corner.

Haasan, who is the daughter of Tamil superstar Kamal Haasan, works across the Hindi, Tamil and Telugu film industries.
