Adidas’ New Kicks With Victorinox Come With a Knife Holster, Natch

Adidas is about to drop another unexpected (but welcome) collaboration: The Adidas x Victorinox EQT Support 93, complete with a holster for your pocket knife.

Inspired by Victorinox’s iconic Swiss Army pocket knives, the EQT Support 93 showcases a utilitarian design in red, black, and white colors with a shiny silver Damascus pattern on the inside heel as a nod to Victorinox’s blades. Cinch laces, plus materials like canvas and neoprene, further the sneakers’ rugged vibe. Other Victorinox details include the Swiss brand’s logos throughout the left shoe, including the Cross and Shield on one side and coordinates of the Victorinox headquarters in the transparent outer sole.

But by far the coolest part of the new kicks is an included Nappa leather pouch that hooks onto the outside of the sneakers. The pouch holds a limited-edition Victorinox Classic SD Solemate pocket knife, which boasts a Damascus handle pattern to match the shoe’s heel counter and a key hanger that matches the laces.

After months of waiting, the Adidas x Victorinox EQT Support 93s will soon be available at Adidas.com. The matching Solemate pocket knife can be purchased now at Victorinox.com. As a limited drop, the kicks will likely sell out fast, so pick up a pair as soon as they release.

Together, the utilitarian style, unique details, and pocket knife integration make the new sneakers ideal for “just about any urban adventure with multifunctionality and style,” per Victorinox.

“Collaborations are a strategic pillar of our marketing efforts, and we are very proud to announce this great partnership with Adidas,” says Veronika Elsener, Chief of Marketing at Victorinox, in a release. “We are thrilled with the outcome of the products which bring unique design and exciting details.”

Adidas, meantime, has long been at the forefront of collaborative fashion (as any sneakerhead is likely aware of). Lately, Adidas has dropped capsules with everyone from Gucci to Noah to queer artist Kris Andrew Small, further cementing their place as one of the most collaborative brands around.
