After Beyoncé, Bruno Mars, and Chris Martin showed how great the Super Bowl Halftime Show could be, the NFL is reportedly in talks with another big name.

According to The Sun, Adele has been discussing with the NFL the possibility of her headlining the halftime show. Says The Sun’s source: “There is nobody bigger in the world than Adele right now and organizers are doing absolutely everything they can to try to persuade her to sign up. She’s sold out every date on her tour, everyone wants a piece of her and they know they can bank on her bringing in the viewers.”

The source also says that the only reason as to why Adele hasn’t agreed to it yet is because of “[her] nerves,” noting that “it hasn’t been an easy sell.”

Over 115 million U.S. viewers tuned in to this past Super Bowl Halftime Show—four million more than the game itself, so Adele’s nerves are certainly justified. According to The Sun, the NFL has offered to let her be joined by her friend Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic to help with her nerves.

Adele has acknowledged this issue in the past, but bravely faced her fears earlier this year when she headlined Glastonbury, which she referred to as “the best moment of [her] life so far.” Hopefully, she’ll be able to do the same and agree to put on a stellar Super Bowl Halftime Show performance.

Super Bowl LI will take place on February 5, 2017 at NRG Stadium in Houston, Texas.
