Adele’s recent show at her Weekends with Adele residency has sparked marriage rumors about her and Rich Paul. After calling the sports agent her “husband” earlier this month, she has now referred to herself as his “wife.”

While on stage at The Colosseum in Las Vegas on Saturday (Sept . 23), the 35-year-old joked that she’s “not the greatest wife” to Paul, as she’s still getting hip to American football.

“I have spent a lot of my time trying to understand and also enjoy American football, ’cause I love sports. I actually love watching sports,” the U.K.-star told the crowd in a video caught by a fan. “I just don’t understand the game, and it’s so annoying because I’m actually quite a clever person. Why does the whistle always get blown? Why is it four yards? Why are there inches? Why does it stop when it gets f**king exciting?”

Earlier this month, the “Someone Like You” bellower called her 41-year-old partner, her “husband” during a conversation with a female audience member, who jokingly asked to marry her.

“You can’t marry me. I’m straight, my love, and my husband’s here tonight,” she told her in a clip posted to TikTok. After the fan asked, “Can you try?” the Grammy winner jokingly responded, “No, I don’t want to try. I’m with Rich. You’re crazy, leave me alone.”

Paul, who represents NBA stars like LeBron James and Anthony Davis, was first speculated to be dating Adele in July 2021, when they sat courtside at Game 5 of the NBA Finals. Since then, the two have confirmed their romance and have even spoken on wanting children.

“I really want to be a mom again soon,” the mother-of-one shared after a pregnant audience member asked her to help choose a name for her unborn daughter. “I’ve actually been writing lists. So every time I see a name that I like, I write it down in my phone.”

The singer shares a 10-year-old son, Angelo, with her ex-husband Simon Konecki, who she split from in 2019.

In a 2022 interview with Elle, Adele admitted to wanting to give her son a sibling. “I definitely want more kids. I’m a homemaker, and I’m a matriarch, and a stable life helps me with my music.” Speaking to a timeline of making that happen, she added, “Right now, all I got in my brain is Vegas. I want to f**king nail it.”

Aligned with his girlfriend’s thoughts, Paul also revealed that he wants more children in a June 2022 interview with E! News.

The father-of-three shared, “As a young dad, growing a business, it was pretty tough. But now looking as an older dad and my kids being much older, and obviously, if I was to have more kids… I’m looking forward to being a different dad, a more patient dad.”

Neither Adele nor Rich Paul have confirmed if they actually tied the knot.
