Adele, Michelle Williams & Anna Camp All Announce Separation from Husbands

Oof, it’s been a rough week for love in Hollywood. Specifically, Friday, April 19, proved to be a day of marital discord. Three different celebrity couples announced they were ending their marriages — Adele, Michelle Williams and Anna Camp have all separated from their husbands. Naturally, outside of the couples themselves, no one knows what circumstances led to these decisions or how understandably difficult it likely was for each couple to reach this conclusion. However, a few details have been released about these celebrity splits.

Early on Friday, news broke that Pitch Perfect co-stars Anna Camp and Skylar Astin have decided to call it quits after two years of marriage. “We can confirm that we have decided to separate, and this decision was made mutually and amicably,” the former couple told E! News in a joint statement. “We kindly ask for privacy as we navigate this transition.”

Camp and Astin, who first met on the 2012 set of the original Pitch Perfect, married in September 2016 following an eight-month engagement. Per E!, the last social media post that showed them together was shared on Instagram in January. And, according to People, they put their L.A. home on the market nearly a month before announcing their split.

Later in the afternoon on Friday, People also reported that Michelle Williams and her indie musician husband-of-less-than-a-year, Phil Elverum, have separated. “Michelle and Phil separated at the beginning of the year. It was an amicable split, and they remain friends,” a source reportedly close to the relationship told People.

The pair got married in an intimate Adirondacks ceremony last year with her 12-year-old daughter Matilda (with the late Heath Ledger), his 3-year-old daughter from a previous marriage, and a few friends present. The news of their split follows rumors of trouble after Williams went sans wedding band at two recent public outings.

Then, on Friday evening, Adele’s representatives Benny Tarantini and Carl Fysh released a statement to the Associated Press confirming the singer had split from husband Simon Konecki after two years of marriage and more than seven years together.

“Adele and her partner have separated. They are committed to raising their son together lovingly,” the reps confirmed. “As always they ask for privacy. There will be no further comment.” The ex-couple, who reportedly wed sometime in 2017, welcomed son Angelo in 2012.

Best wishes to all parties involved during this transitional time.
