Whoever was serving Adele, James Corden, and Harry Styles during their weekend meal in the Caribbean is likely glad they entered the restaurant industry. The British singer, "Late Late Show" host, and former One DIrection star have been making headlines galore for dining at the Caribbean Fish Market in St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands – more for the tip than the meal, though.
As The Metro reports, Adele, Harry, and James all sat down together for an evening meal, racking up a bill of $472.50. The real headline came from the very generous tip left, though.
The stars tipped their server $2,020.
'When Harry Styles And Adele Give Your Friend A Nice 2020 New Year's Tip'
The three stars left a hand-written note to their server.
"Happy New Year," it read, with the words also appearing on the receipt.
The restaurant's bartender then took to social media to share the generous tip.
"When Harry Styles and Adele give your friend a nice 2020 New Year's tip," he tweeted.
Unsurprisingly, Adele, Styles, and Corden quickly found their names trending on social media, although Adele's name has been fronting media outlets for other reasons as her markedly-thinner frame leaves fans divided – and some even concerned.
'Wait, Adele Looks Way Too Skinny Here, Should We Get Worried?'
Adele is currently vacationing with Styles, having divided her time between Anguilla and the U.S. Virgin Islands, with James Corden joining them.
The "Rolling In The Deep" singer has sparked concern, though. Photos of the singer's slimmed-down frame have swarmed social media – they showed Adele wearing a low-cut and patterned beach dress. The star has shed a significant amount of weight since splitting from her baby daddy and husband of seven years, Simon Konecki.
"Wait adele looks way too skinny here should we get worried?" a fan had written.
"IS THIS ADELE?!?! someone feed her pls she looks so skinny and not really that healthy .... we should be worrying about her omg," another said, per TMZ.
The Initial 20-Pound Loss; How She Did It
Adele herself hasn't revealed how she shed the weight, although an insider reporting to Life & Style dished.
“While Adele would never starve herself, she’s avoiding snacking in-between meals and has cut back on carbs — it’s certainly paid off because she’s lost 20 pounds,” the source said.
“Working out has also become part of her daily routine. It helps being in L.A. because being healthy is very much part of the lifestyle," they added.
Adele has previously been known for her curves.
'Annoying' That The World Focuses On Her Weight
Body-positivity is all good and well, but for Adele, the scrutiny over her weight is straight-up cumbersome.
Back in 2015, Adele spoke out.
“I’ve always been asked questions about my body and my weight and my size and my style and stuff like that. And I totally understand. It’s a bit annoying that men don’t get asked that question as much," she said.
“But other than that it seemed to astound people that I was plus size and being successful, that was how I felt,” she added. “I don’t care anyway. You don’t see music, you listen to music, so what does it even matter?” she added.
Thinner she may be, but Adele doesn't seem to have lost her generous touch (alongside Styles and Corden). As to James, he's been making headlines for revealing the rudest celeb he ever met.
