Adam Sandler Says He Gets a 'Little Jumpy' Around Taylor Swift Because He Doesn't Want to 'Blow It' for His Kids

The actor is dad to daughters Sadie, 17, and Sunny, 15, whom he shares with wife Jackie

Adam Sandler may be a famous actor, but there are still some celebrities that make him nervous.

On this week's episode of SiriusXM's Conan O'Brien Needs a Friend podcast, host Conan O'Brien talks with the actor and dad of two, 57, about meeting big celebrities. Sandler, who shares daughters Sadie, 17, and Sunny, 15, with wife Jackie Sandler, says there's one star he loses his cool around.

"You know what, Taylor Swift, because what she means to my kids, I get a little jumpy. Just cause I don't wanna blow it for my kids," Sandler admits. "So I'm a little like, 'Taylor, Taylor,' like I talk a little too loud or something. I don't stay as cool as I can."

"You yell her name outside her house. Taylor!" O'Brien jokes. "Talk to me," Sandler laughs.

"Speak to me. Yeah, I can see that. Yeah. She's this whole other level now," O'Brien continues.

"People talk about The Beatles of it all and her. I mean, so many smash hits. There's not a word my kids don't know," Sandler says.

"Yeah, my daughter, it means so much," O'Brien shares.

"I know them too, by the way. But they know them inside and out," Sandler says. "But it's, just remember The Beatles, every song on the record, you knew? That's Taylor Swift too. You just, there's not a song you skip. You go, that one's pretty damn cool."

On Monday, the actor was joined by his family as he walked the red carpet at the Los Angeles premiere of his new movie Spaceman, held at the Egyptian Theater.

While speaking to reporters, Sandler was asked about sharing the screen with his daughters Sadie and Sunny in multiple movies. Most recently, Sunny joined her dad as Anna in Spaceman, while he plays Jakub Prochazka, an astronaut on a solo mission to Jupiter.

When asked if casting his teen daughters in films is the best way to spend time with them, Sandler admitted, "They still don't talk to you. They go do their thing."

He added: "They do the best they can, and then they go do their life. I am on the side going, 'Love you.' I say I love you a lot to them."
