Adam Sandler was showing off his skills on the basketball court Thursday night.

The comedian, 57, was spotted playing a three-on-three pickup game with five University of Arizona players before the team’s game against the University of Colorado on Thursday.

“@AdamSandler pulled up to put on some work at McKale,” the university’s basketball program tweeted out, alongside three photos of Sandler on the court with the Arizona players.

Several more Arizona players watched courtside, smiling as the Waterboy actor hustled around the court throughout the game. At one point, Sandler tossed a behind-the-back pass to a teammate, drawing a rowdy ovation from those along the sidelines.

A short video of the play was shared on social media by Arizona Wildcats basketball reporter Aidan Wohl.

The future Saturday Night Live star grew up an avid basketball fan, playing for his Jewish community center’s youth team before playing high school basketball for Manchester Central High School in New Hampshire.

“Basketball started for me [when] I was a young man,” Sandler said, according to a Netflix story about the actor’s love for the game.

“I played with my dad, my brother and my uncle, who was 6-[feet]-6. And we had a telephone pole on our street,” he continued, adding: “My father painted a little board brown, put it up on the telephone pole, put a rim on it. It was very small, so you didn’t have much backboard to work with. But we used to play hoops out there in the street, and when a car came by we’d have to stop. But I got addicted to it then.”
