If you’ve ever wanted to see Adam Sandler play a septuagenarian talking lizard, then Netflix’s new Leo trailer is for you. Check out the preview of the animated musical comedy ahead of its November 21st release date below.

In the film, Sandler stars as the titular 74-year-old lizard, who has shared a terrarium with a turtle named Squirtle (Bill Burr) in the same Florida classroom for decades. After learning he only has a year left to live, the jaded pet plots an escape to the outside world, but ends up bonding with the students in this year’s class instead after they find out he can talk. “This is a tough time, but these are the best years,” he tells one student.

Leo was directed by Robert Marianetti, David Wachtenheim, and Saturday Night Live alum Robert Smigel, the latter of whom co-wrote the movie with Sandler and Paul Sado. The cast also features Stephanie Hsu, Jason Alexander, Cecily Strong, Jo Koy, Heidi Gardner, and Nicholas Turturro, as well as longtime Sandler collaborators Rob Schneider and Nick Swardson. Making it a family affair are Sandler’s own wife, Jackie Sandler, and daughters, Sadie Sandler and Sunny Sandler.

Sandler’s last Netflix film, You Are So Not Invited to My Bat Mitzvah, also featured his wife and daughters. His next film on the streamer, Spaceman, is slated for 2024.

Meanwhile, beginning tonight Sandler will launch a new standup tour across North America.
