Adam McKay to Produce Jeffrey Epstein Limited Series for HBO Under New First-Look Deal
Adam McKay is producing an untitled limited series about Jeffrey Epstein for HBO, the network announced Wednesday.
The project, based on Miami Herald investigative reporter Julie K. Brown’s upcoming book about Epstein, will be executive produced by McKay and his producing partner Kevin Messick, in addition to Brown. The project comes as McKay enters a new deal reuniting him with HBO, where he is also set to produce and direct the untitled 1970s-set pilot about the Showtime Lakers.
McKay’s new company, Hyperobject Industries, has signed a five-year, first-look television deal with the company to develop content for both HBO and the recently unveiled streaming service HBO Max. “Who Is America?” producer Todd Schulman has joined the company to oversee the TV deal and its output.
