Nearly a decade after Adam Driver killed Harrison Ford on the big screen, Star Wars fans are still harassing the actor for his character Kylo Ren’s impetuous decision to dispatch his on-screen father, Han Solo.

“Somebody reminds me about that every day,” Driver told CNN’s Chris Wallace in a new interview before clarifying, “Not every day, but yeah. It used to be more, but now it’s probably once a month someone will let me know that I killed Han Solo.”

Despite the weight of the scene and its impact on the Star Wars universe, Driver said shooting the infamous scene wasn’t “tough,” thanks in part to Ford’s professionalism (as well as that actor’s reported desire to be done with the Han Solo character).

“Harrison was so generous and contemplative, and to me, that was a great moment on set, even though it was his death,” Driver added.

Even though Driver’s character killed off a beloved cinema icon, it hasn’t negatively stifled his career: Following 2015’s The Force Awakens and the new Star Wars trilogy, Driver has gone on to star in BlacKkKlansman, Marriage Story, The Last Duel, House of Gucci, White Noise and the new Ferrari biopic, where he plays Enzo Ferrari.

Driver will also lead the cast of Francis Ford Coppola’s upcoming epic Megalopolis, the legendary filmmaker’s first film in over a dozen years.
