Actresses Who’ve Played Harley Quinn

For what seems like forever, people have been obsessed with the character Harley Quinn, whether it be for her storyline or just the personal connections you may have to her mentally ill character.

For those who don’t know, Harley Quinn, formerly known as Dr. Harleen Quinzel is a character from the DC Universe that is the female counterpart to Joker. the comics go that she was a psychiatrist who was treating Joker, fell in love with him, and then became his villain sidekick and love interest. Over the years, many actresses have worked hard to bring this character to life, including, most recently, Lady Gaga.

In April 2024, a new teaser was dropped for the Joker sequel, starring Joaquin Phoenix as Joker and Lady Gaga debuting in the DC Cinematic Universe as the role of Harley Quinn. Not much is known about the plot, but you can see a teaser for the trailer below:

Robbie raved about the character to Total Film, saying, “One of the first things I said to James was, I think Harley is a catalyst of chaos. She’s not necessarily your narrative center, and sometimes it’s great when plot points can rest on other characters’ shoulders, and she can be the thing that erupts a whole sequence of events. That’s something I felt he agreed with, based on what I was reading in the script.”
