Actress Drops New Album and Announces Another One

Actress has released a new record called 88 for free on Bandcamp. The record, uploaded as a single 49-minute track, is protected by a password at WhoIsActress.com, with the clue “fate with love.” Also this morning, Actress’ label Ninja Tune announced Karma & Desire, a second full-length coming sometime in October. Actress released AZD, his sixth record, in 2017. In 2018, he released another project called Young Paint, which he developed through an AI interface that translated his drawings into musical notation. He also worked on a Stockhausen-inspired opera. Karma and Desire, or an album of the same name, had been teased to arrive last fall but didn’t materialize.
