Actors from 'The Sandlot' coming to downtown Cincinnati to watch movie with fans

Grab your lawn chair and a baseball glove! The Banks is hosting an outdoor screening of "The Sandlot," with original cast members in attendance, in honor of the film's 30th anniversary.

Fans of the 1993 baseball comedy can watch "The Sandlot" for free Aug. 17 at 8:30 p.m. The movie will play on the video board outside Great American Ball Park.

According to a press release, actors Grant Gelt, who played Bertram Grover Weeks in the film; Victor DiMattia, who played Timmy Timmons; and Shane Obedzinski, aka Tommy "Repeat" Timmons, will attend the screening as part of a program with their new youth sports nonprofit, Play Forever.

The cast members will also tend bar at Moerlein Lager House before the movie.
