The couple, who got engaged in 2020, wed last weekend at Casa Loma in Toronto in front of 200 guests

Kiana Madeira and Lovell Adams-Gray officially said "I do" last weekend, over three years after getting engaged.

The Fear Street actress, 30, and her actor husband, 31, gathered with over 200 of their closest friends and family at the famous Casa Loma in Toronto to tie the knot last Sunday. The couple, who got engaged in February 2020, tells PEOPLE the castle-style mansion was the perfect fit for their “ethereal royalty” theme.

“It was a dream come true. A fairytale,” Madeira says. “It was everything we prayed for, and more,” Adams-Gray adds.

The weekend kicked off with a rehearsal lunch, which Madeira says they kept casual with catered BBQ and a “backyard picnic” for the 26-member wedding party — a number the couple tells PEOPLE is “the largest Casa Loma had ever seen.”

At the ceremony, Madeira’s bridesmaids and bridesman were decked out in all-purple attire they chose for themselves, while Adams-Gray’s groomsmen wore all black. The couple say their favorite color is purple, but the hue holds an even deeper meaning to them as Madeira’s engagement ring has “a purple amethyst hidden within the inside of the band.”

Madeira walked down the aisle to “Pair of Wings” by Justin Timberlake played by musicians the Soenen Sisters, who perform on the harp and cello, as she made a statement in Luca Sposa off-the-shoulder lace and tulle gown embroidered with flower and butterfly detailing, purchased at Liza Ray. She completed the bridal moment with a custom matching Tania Maras veil.

“This dress was the number one on my list from the very beginning when I saw it online and trying it on at Liza Ray in N.Y.C. just solidified my love for it,” she says. “I truly wouldn’t change a thing about it.”

She accessorized with pearl-covered heels by Charlotte Mills, a custom Tania Maras pearl choker and earrings by an Indigenous Canadian brand, Karáhkwa Jewelry.

Adams-Gray chose a bespoke white three-piece suit by Alan David Custom Suits N.Y.C., paired with Luca Del Forte dress shoes.

After the Trinkets star crossed the estate’s “enchanted garden” to reach the Derêves Floral flower-lined altar, Pastor Samuel Kenga from Toronto City Church prepared for the bride and groom to read their handwritten vows. They signed the register in front of their guests — a Canadian tradition — as the Soenen Sisters played “Fireflies” by Owl City.

“To me, marriage makes our relationship and our love official under God,” Adams-Gray says. “Not because of the signing of the legal papers, but because of the ceremony and having our pastor speak over us, in front of our family and friends.”

As the ceremony came to a close, Madeira and the 21 Black Futures star shared a kiss both underneath the altar, and again when they passed by their friends and family and walked back down the aisle. Guests then transitioned over to the cocktail hour in another garden area of the mansion’s grounds, where they were greeted by the Soenen Sisters.

“We wanted it to feel like it’s difficult to pinpoint the exact era that we’re in — a sense of timelessness was fun for us to play with,” the two explain.

While sipping on “His and Hers” cocktails (a paloma and an old-fashioned), the newlyweds changed into their reception outfits.

Madeira swapped her gown for a short halter dress by Ines Di Santo Zana and a different pair of Charlotte Mills heels, and Adams-Gray switched things up with a purple and white suit by Garçon Couture. His shoes were Custom Golden Goose sneakers hand-painted by SoHo artisan, Kent Anthony.

Once everyone settled into the tented reception area, where purple delphinium dropped down from the ceiling in an extravagant floral display, a seated dinner began and DJ Spex got the party started.

“When the salads were barely even finished, the dance floor was packed,” Madeira says.

The four-course dinner consisted of salad, ravioli, 72-hour braised short rib and an option of white chocolate cheesecake or vanilla crème brûlée for dessert. There was also a custom vanilla and strawberry with lemon and elderflower five-layer cake by Velvet Lane Cakes — which Madeira shares was special to her new hubby, who “always dreamed of a strawberry shortcake for his wedding cake.”

Most of the night was spent on the dance floor (“We danced all night long!”), with Madeira’s brother Nikane free-styling two songs as their parents sang along with him toward the end of the night.

“[It] was a special moment that will be remembered forever,” the couple tells PEOPLE.
