After an impressive year, British actor James Norton has seen his star rise significantly. The "McMafia" star is also set to star in Greta Gerwig's "Little Women," which is slated for a Christmas release.

Since more and more fans have become familiar with the actor, they've also become naturally curious about his love life. Despite his busy working schedule, Norton has tried to keep his love life private. That's totally understandable, especially considering the high price of dating someone while being famous.

Still, that doesn't mean he can keep every detail of his romantic life a secret. Two years ago, we learned that he was dating fellow actor Imogen Poots. The two of them have been exceedingly private about the details of their relationship, but they did make a public appearance at the Cannes Film Festival last year, confirming their relationship.

As we all know, though, relationships aren't really official until you start posting cryptic hints about them on your Instagram. That's exactly what Poots and Norton did.

The actor posted a picture of the two of them on what appeared to be a vacation in January of 2019. In addition to being quite beautiful, the picture also suggests that they kind of off-beat chemistry that seems like it would be very fun.

At around the same time, Norton also began posting images of Poots that had a more subtle, artistic quality. Apparently, the actor is also something of an amateur photographer, and Poots is a great subject to be photographed.

"Trying my hand with some film cause I’m a dirty Luddite," the actor wrote in the caption to one post. "Thanks to the Nikon FM3a and Imi for both being patient and forgiving. More to come…"

At least right now, the two seem to have a very stable and loving relationship. That may be in part because they've chosen to keep it so private. Often, things get worse when you bring fame into the picture, especially for two actors on the rise.

Norton is set to play John Brooke in "Little Women," which should be another boost for his career. He'll star alongside Saoirse Ronan, Emma Watson, Timothee Chalamet, and Meryl Streep in that film. With a cast like that, the actor is in remarkably good company.

He's also set to star in a six-part BBC drama called "The Trial of Chrstine Keeler." In a statement, Norton expressed his excitement for the project. "I’m delighted to be working with the BBC on this fantastic drama," the actor said. "The opportunity to play Stephen Ward alongside this stellar cast and crew is something I’m really looking forward to."
