The Acorn issues a call for submissions for 12th annual Singer-Songwriter Competition

THREE OAKS — The Acorn has issued a call for submissions for its 12th annual Singer-Songwriter Competition.

Three video entries of original songs are required. Each song must have accompanying lyric sheets with song title and songwriter's name on each song, and video performances should be as close to “live” as possible.

Submissions can include up to three people.

Six singer-songwriters will be selected as finalists to perform July 19.

A panel of judges and the audience will vote for the winner.

The prizes are $1,100 for first place, $350 for second place, $250 for third place, and the, remaining three finalists each receive $100.

The application fee is $25.

The submission deadline is noon May 17.
