ACM Awards Renews Prime Video Deal Through 2025
Amazon Prime is looking to stay in the awards show business after renewing its deal with the Academy of Country Music and Dick Clark Productions to keep the Academy of Country Music Awards on the streaming platform for another two years to 2025.
The new agreement will kick off with the 59th ACM Awards set to stream on the tech and retail giant’s streamer in May 2024 from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas. The awards show from Dick Clark Productions first moved to Amazon Prime in 2022 after leaving a longtime home at CBS.

The renewal also follows the 58th awards show hosted by country music superstars Dolly Parton and Garth Brooks earning around 7.7 million viewers on Prime Video in May, with on-demand viewing for Prime Video, Amazon Freevee and Amazon Music.

We look forward to collaborating with our partners at the Academy of Country Music and Prime Video building together towards the show’s 60th anniversary in 2025,” Jay Penske, CEO, chairman and founder of Penske Media Corporation, and CEO of Dick Clark Productions, said in a statement.
The 2023 ACM Awards was a two-hour concert event that streamed live globally on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch.
“After seeing last year’s show grow to more than 7.7 million viewers, we could not be more thrilled to continue our relationship with the Academy of Country Music and Dick Clark Productions for the next two years, and especially through the show’s milestone 60th anniversary in 2025. We look forward to continuing the success and bringing even more star-studded and captivating shows to fans around the world,” Vernon Sanders, head of television at Amazon MGM Studios, said in his own statement.

The ACM Awards are presented by Dick Clark Productions. DCP is owned by Penske Media Eldridge, a joint venture between Penske Media Corporation and Eldridge that also owns The Hollywood Reporter.
