Acclaimed chef Robbie Felice to open a 'trendy mozzarella bar' in Westwood

What do pastaRAMEN, Viaggio and Osteria Crescendo — three of Jersey's top dining destinations — have in common?

Robbie Felice; the James Beard-nominated chef running them.

And now, the locally-famous restaurateur is back at it again with a whole new concept, Bar Mutz, which he just shared will be opening soon in Westwood.

A hip Italian trattoria and mozzarella bar

A trendy Italian spot to be located next door to his acclaimed upscale dining destination, Osteria Crescendo, Bar Mutz is going to be the place to be for young folks, night crowds and culinary aficionados.

According to Felice, the spot will be a "hip Italian trattoria and mozzarella bar" by the "teams behind Viaggio and Osteria" (two of his other restaurants).

Trattorias, for those unfamiliar with the genre, are casual Italian eating spots serving simple Southern European eats. With Felice's history of putting innovative spins on familiar dishes, however, we can certainly expect those boundaries to be pushed.

An opening date for the restaurant has not yet been decided.

For now, that's about all we know about the concept, so make sure to tune back — and follow @bar.mutz on Instagram — for updates (and, hopefully, plenty of mouthwatering pictures of cheese).
