AC/DC have announced their first tour in eight years, a 2024 UK/European outing that will take place from May through August. The legendary rock band has also revealed that former Jane’s Addiction bassist Chris Chaney has joined their touring lineup in place of classic member Cliff Williams.

The tour announcement comes after a week of teases on AC/DC’s social media pages. The 21-date outing kicks off in May 17th in Gelsenkirchen, Germany, and runs through an August 17th show in Dublin, Ireland. Tickets go on sale on Friday (February 16th) at various times via Viagogo.

AC/DC last embarked on a full tour in 2016. Part way into that tour, singer Brian Johnson had to step aside due to hearing issues, as Guns N’ Roses’ Axl Rose took over on vocals. Williams also retired from the band after that outing.

Johnson, Williams, and drummer Phil Rudd all returned for AC/DC’s 2020 album, Power UpThe band played its first show in seven years this past October at the Power Trip festival in Indio, California, where Rudd was replaced by drummer Matt Laug. Now, Chaney will step in for Williams on the 2024 tour.

The band’s lineup for the upcoming dates will consist of classic members Johnson and lead guitarist Angus Young alongside Laug, Chaney, and rhythm guitarist Stevie Young.

As of now, no North American or South American dates have been revealed, although the band is rumored to be playing the Rock in Rio festival in September.
