Abilene Gives Preview: Chorus Abilene

Thirty-four years ago, Chorus Abilene, founded by Betty Karol Wilson as the Classical Chorus of Abilene, performed our first concert. Since that time, they have added a Children’s Chorus, Youth Chorus, and pop style a cappella group, BackBeat. Chorus Abilene currently has over 100 singers in the organization.

Chorus Abilene is comprised of four choirs with singers ranging in age from kindergarten students through senior citizens, and their concerts are attended by audience members from all over the Big Country. Chorus Abilene is pleased to boast some of the best attended choral concerts in the area.

Chorus Abilene collectively believes that music and community are essential, and it is a true joy to provide both of these for these singers and audience members.
