Philosophy Tube star Abigail Thorn has added to the cast of her upcoming Nebula original short film, “Dracula’s Ex-Girlfriend,” with “Helluva Boss” stars Morgana Ignis and Brandon Rogers.

Described as “‘Jennifer’s Body’ meets ‘Euphoria,’” the “sexy and irreverent” short will debut in early Summer 2024 on Nebula under the Nebula Originals banner.

Per Nebula’s description, “Two former rivals who share the same toxic ex, Count Dracula, reconnect over dinner and drinks — but one is more healed and moved on than the other. We see how the toxic relationship with Dracula has impacted them both so differently. One is still compulsively running through men and can’t kick the habit of drinking their blood, and the other is working through her trauma and we see how much it impacts her current relationships.”

As previously announced, Thorn will play Belladona. Ignis has been cast as Fay and Rogers has the role of Alex.

Written by Thorn and directed by Valentina Vee, “Dracula’s Ex-Girlfriend” is set to begin production Feb. 26 in Hollywood. The film will be produced by Nebula CEO Dave Wiskus and Trenton Waterson. Executive producers include Thorn, and PJ Scott-Blankenship and Zara Glaze for Nebula.

“The ‘DEX’ casting announcement is particularly exciting,” Wiskus said. “We’ve been gearing up behind the scenes for creators to take over the entertainment industry, and everything I’ve seen from Abigail and Valentina so far has only made me more confident in that vision.”

Thorn said: “Morgana constantly amazes me with how she throws herself into every role, and Brandon is a performer nonpareil. To have these two cheeky imps in DEX is a dream — I know they’ll both bring so much to the film and I can’t wait to be on set with them!”

Rogers and Ignis are both featured on hit animated web series “Helluva Boss,” with Ignis voicing Sallie May and Rogers writing and voicing characters.

Ignis’ other notable screen credits include “Stan Against Evil” (Hulu/IFC), “Earth to Ned” (Disney+/The Jim Henson Company), the film “Moon Garden” and the Streamy-winning comedy series “Bryce.”

She is repped by CESD for Voice Over.

Aside from “Helluva Boss,” Rogers is best known for playing multiple characters on his popular YouTube channel. In 2019, Rogers co-hosted the 9th Annual Streamy Awards where he had several nominations and won best scripted series for his web series “Blame the Hero.”
