ABC's The Bachelor gets musical spin-off

Sounds like Bachelor Nation is about to face the music — literally.

Mike Fleiss’ long-running franchise that iconized helping singles find love is adding music to the mix with a new spin-off reality show, The Bachelor: Listen to Your Heart. Starting April 13, men and women in their twenties will duet Bachelor-esque dates with musical tasks, including live performances in front of notable names in the music industry. Think American Idol meets The Bachelor. Finally the type of screen time that all the Jed Wyatts of the world have been waiting in the wings for!

The formula of week-by-week elimination will be based on the couple’s chemistry and vocal talents while singing popular tracks — until one twosome remains. If Hannah Brown’s victory and popularity on Dancing With the Stars this past season is any indication, there may be something to Next Entertainment’s decision to place bachelors center stage.
