ABC Renews 8 Unscripted Series, Including American Idol and Shark Tank — What’s Still on the Bubble?

ABC has confirmed that eight of its biggest unscripted shows have been renewed for the 2024–2025 TV season, including American Idol, The Bachelor and Shark Tank.

It should be noted, however, that several of these shows will look very different when they return for their new seasons. American Idol, for example, is saying goodbye to Katy Perry as a judge after this season; Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie will be joined by a yet-unannounced third panelist for Season 23.

And with Pat Sajak passing the torch to Ryan Seacrest, the face of Idol will also inherit Celebrity Wheel of Fortune hosting duties. Additionally, Mark Cuban recently revealed that Season 16 of Shark Tank (which is among the renewals listed here) will be his last, so be sure to enjoy your time with the entrepreneur while you still can.
