ABC News meteorologist Rob Marciano has reportedly left the network after ten years amid allegations of making a colleague uncomfortable on set.

Sources suggest his behavior was linked to anger management issues, possibly exacerbated by his divorce. Marciano's tenure included contributions to various ABC programs and a recent coverage of Shreveport's recovery from a storm.

ABC News Meteorologist Rob Marciano Exits The Network

After a decade with ABC News, meteorologist Marciano has parted ways with the network.

Sources familiar with the matter confirmed Marciano's departure to TheWrap but did not provide details on the circumstances.

However, previous reports by Page Six last year showed that Marciano was accused of making a colleague uncomfortable on set, which resulted in his ban from the "Good Morning America" studio. Despite his ban at the time, he continued contributing to other ABC News platforms, including "World News Tonight."

Sources revealed to the outlet that Marciano's ban from Times Square Studios followed an incident in which "he was found to have done something … that was improper, but he was punished for it, and they still haven't let him return."

At the time of the ban, Marciano faced allegations regarding anger management issues, with reports suggesting his divorce from his wife, Eryn, may have exacerbated these concerns.

"He made people feel uncomfortable. There was a period where there were some issues, a number of alarming events," the second source disclosed.

The insider revealed that the network's actions in response to Marciano included a month-long hiatus from on-air appearances and total exclusion from the "GMA" studio by executive producer Simone Swink, who was described as a "no-nonsense" person who prioritizes keeping "[her staff] focused and happy."

"There were times when [Marciano] was very cranky and angry … unsavory behavior on his part. He was pulled off to deal with it and he's been back," the second source added.

Before ABC, he worked as an anchor for Entertainment Tonight and a meteorologist for CNN.

In September, Marciano marked his 10th year with ABC News in an Instagram post, revealing plans to contribute to all ABC shows and platforms Monday through Friday, allowing for more time with his children on weekends.

According to court documents obtained by People Magazine, Marciano's ex-wife Eryn initiated divorce proceedings in June 2021 in the Westchester, New York Supreme Court, with a trial order filed in May.

In a statement at the time, the meteorologist expressed his sorrow over the situation, stating, "The last couple of years have been very difficult. I didn't want this and tried to save the marriage, but we are sadly divorcing. My focus now is on my kids."

The news of their divorce followed the sale of their family home in Rye, N.Y., for $2.7 million, as per public records obtained by the news outlet.
