The cast of Dance Moms may have left Abby Lee Miller in the dust, but the dance teacher thinks they would be nothing without her.

In case you missed it, many of the show’s cast members joined producers for their first sit-down in years. The reunion aired on Lifetime in 2024 and looked back on the good, bad, and ugly times at the ALDC.

Of course, Abby wasn’t invited to attend, and today, she’s sharing her theory as to why.

Abby slams the Dance Moms crew after being left out of the reunion

Abby spoke with Bethenny Frankel recently and said she wasn’t part of the reunion because “the kids can’t face” her.

“I think the kids can’t face me,” she said. “Because they know they would never be where they are today if it wasn’t for the show.” She continued, slamming Brooke, Paige, and their mother, Kelly Hyland, for using the show to get famous.

“There’s two little girls named Brooke and Paige who I was very close to, much closer emotionally and family-wise than any of the other kids. Their mother was in my original competition team when I was 14 years old — their mother,” Abby explained. “And she stayed at my studio, then she left, got married, had kids, brought them to my studio at two years old, and stayed until the show started.”

Later, Abby questioned why the parents, including Kelly, would bring their children back at “three and four and five and six and seven and eight” if she created such a “toxic” environment.

“And what you don’t read, what you don’t read that Lifetime didn’t want anyone to know. They wanted me to be this down and out, po-dunk, heavy set dance teacher, screaming at these little kids because that made good TV.”

Despite the tears and physical fights, Abby said there were many positives to dancing at her studio. “Nobody talks about the kids that I’ve had in, drum roll please, 25 Broadway shows. Did you read that anywhere? 25 Broadway shows. I have had kids from Pittsburgh in, that I took, that I drove their asses back and forth to the auditions,” she said.
