Aaron Judge shuts up some hecklers with a rocket home run

Baseball players are fairly limited when it comes to responding to hecklers. They can’t get mad, because that proves the hecklers are bothering them. They shouldn’t engage, because their responses are lame 95 percent of the time. There’s only one surefire way to deal with a heckler: Smash a rocket home run and stare them down while running the bases.

That’s exactly what New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge did during Wednesday’s game against the Chicago White Sox. In the top of the sixth inning, Judge belted hit 27th home run of the season, extending the Yankees lead to 8-2.

Take note of Judge as he rounds first base. He seems to be intensely staring at right field. No, Judge doesn’t hate White Sox right fielder Avisail Garcia. Turns out, he was staring down some hecklers who were bothering him throughout the contest.

Judge admitted that was the case after the game.

“I like having some fun with the fans. They were heckling me pretty good out there. I’m not going to say anything to them. I just gave them a little peek as I rounded the bases. I was just having some fun with them. They were kind of razzing me when I got back out there.”

That’s the perfect response, right? Judge didn’t need to answer with words, he got back at his detractors by destroying their team, as the Yankees would go on to win the game 12-3.

Of course, how do we know the hecklers were actually White Sox fans and not Yankees fans using unique tactics to motivate Judge? That sounds crazy, but we can’t figure out why the hell opposing fans would do anything to make Judge angry right now.
