Taylor Swift surprised fans in Cincinnati on Saturday when she brought Aaron Dessner onstage at Paycor Stadium.

"It's just like the craziest most wonderful thing that he came into my life," Swift said while introducing the Cincinnati native. "He happens to be from Cincinnati, Ohio. ... Your boy is here, Aaron Dessner is here."

Dessner, founder of the band The National, performed "Ivy" with Swift, a track he co-wrote and produced on her 2020 album, "Evermore."

He then posted about the experience on Instagram Sunday.

"Cincinnati!! It's hard to describe what it felt like to play 'Ivy' from 'evermore' last night with (Taylor Swift) in the town I grew up in, where I learned to play music in the first place," Dessner wrote, alongside a video of the performance. "Grateful as always to Taylor and all of you for listening."

On his Instagram Story, Dessner added it was "hard to think of a crazier full circle moment."

Dessner and The National will be back in Cincinnati in September, when they host their Homecoming festival Sept. 15-16 at the Icon Festival Stage at Smale Park.
