“We’ve shared numerous clients with Sheree over the years and have always admired her taste, her tenacity, her collegiality, and her commitment to the artists she represents,” Mainstay CEO Norman Aladjem said. “Sheree will of course amplify our management business, and as importantly we look forward to adding her powerful voice to our company culture.”

A number of Cohen’s clients are expected to join her at Mainstay in her new capacity. Her exit from A3 is still being finalized.

“Sheree is still employed by A3, but is looking to embark on a career in management,” the agency’s CEO Brian Cho said. “Though she will be missed, we support her decision and look forward to sharing clients with her in a new capacity.”

Cohen is the second partner-level talent agent to leave A3 in the past couple of weeks. She joins Jamie Pillet, who has been in talks to join WME.

Mainstay’s film development slate includes the adaptation of Trevor Noah’s bestselling memoir Born a Crime starring Oscar winner Lupita Nyong’o for Paramount and the genre-bending vampire western The Sun Always Sets in the West with Danny McBride’s Rough House Pictures, set for a 2024 start date. In TV, the company is developing an adaptation of Jennette McCurdy’s memoir I’m Glad My Mom Died as well as Patti Stanger’s new matchmaking series for the CW, Disappeared: The Bradley Sisters for Discovery ID (along with its accompanying podcast), De Viajes Con Los Derbez for Univision and Amazon International and a series of “I Am” documentary films for the CW.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Mainstay, a company that values creativity, teamwork, and continuous growth,” Cohen said. “Having worked with them closely for years, I’ve experienced first-hand their knowledge and reach in all aspects of the industry and look forward to being a part of their incredible team.”
