After a period of speculation prolonged by the double strike, A24 has officially confirmed the cast set for its erotic thriller Babygirl, marking a reteam with Bodies Bodies Bodies helmer Halina Reijn. Nicole Kidman (The Undoing), Antonio Banderas (Pain and Glory) and Harris Dickinson (The Iron Claw) lead an ensemble that also includes Talk to Me‘s Sophie Wilde and Jean Reno (Léon: The Professional).

In the film written and directed by Reijn, a successful CEO begins an illicit affair with her much younger intern. David Hinojosa of 2AM will produce alongside Reijn of MAN UP Film and A24, which is financing the project. Julia Oh, Zach Nutman and Christine D’Souza Gelb of 2AM will serve as exec producers.

More from Deadline

Reijn comes to make Babygirl with A24 after collaborating with the studio on her critically acclaimed satirical slasher Bodies Bodies Bodies, which world premiered out of SXSW. She previously saw her 2019 directorial debut Instinct, selected as the official Dutch entry for the Best International Feature Oscar, acquired by the company.

It’s been a busy year for A24, even amidst a pair of strikes — first off, in terms of IP acquisitions. Most recently, the mini major snagged TV rights to Paris Hilton’s new memoir for 11:11 Media, Elle & Dakota Fanning’s Lewellen Pictures and Middle Child Pictures, also setting out to develop the Magnolia Parks novels from Jessa Hastings for the small screen. The company also secured interim agreements to complete production on its horror pic Opus, starring Ayo Edebiri and John Malkovich, as well as Death of a Unicorne, starring Paul Rudd, Jenna Ortega and many more. Additionally, A24’s animated series Hazbin Hotel with Bento Box was set up at Amazon in September.

Currently in theaters with Dicks: The Musical and a re-release of the Talking Heads doc Stop Making Sense, as well as the surreal Nicolas Cage comedy Dream Scenario, A24’s next films set for release include Jonathan Glazer’s The Zone of Interest (December 15), Sean Durkin’s starry wrestling pic The Iron Claw (December 22), and Steve McQueen’s doc Occupied City (December 25). Reijn is repped by CAA, 2AM and Jackoway Austen Tyerman; Kidman by CAA, Media Talent Group, and Jackoway Austen Tyerman; Banderas by NuCo Media Group and Hirsch Wallerstein Hayum; Dickinson by Gersh, Brillstein Entertainment Partners and Brecheen Feldman Breimer; Wilde by Hamilton Hodell in the U.K., WME in the U.S., and IMC Talent in Australia; and Reno by CAA, Gateway Management.
