It’s a bird… It’s a plane… It’s Henry Cavill with his 19-year-old girlfriend at the Vanity Fair Oscar party.
The blue tights-wearing star of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, 32, made his red carpet debut with his university student girlfriend, Tara King, at the premiere Hollywood event on Sunday night. They made an attractive pair — it would be hard not to next to him! — in his sharp tux and her orange dress.
Cavill, who was a presenter at the Academy Awards in advance of his superhero movie’s opening later this month, talked/gushed extensively about the blonde in a recent interview with Elle, proving himself to be quite the romantic.
Asked what he and King talk about, considering their age difference, he replied, “Everything. People say, ‘Age is just a number.’ A lot of times it’s not just a number. It’s actually a real and true sign of someone’s maturity. But in this case, she’s fantastic.”
While she’s younger than he is, not rich, not famous, and not as worldly, Cavill claimed he was “super intimidated” by her when they met because, “I wanted to impress her. I was thinking, Don’t mess this up, man. You’ve gotta play your cards exactly right.”
He also said that she has taught him “things that I can’t mention in an article.” Racy!
All of that said, Cavill claims he doesn’t always go after the young babe. “When I was 19, I was going out with a 32 year old,” he admitted.
The Brit’s exes include MMA fighter Gina Carano, whom he brought to the same Vanity Fair party back in 2013 (shh… don’t tell Tara), as well as Kaley Cuoco (for a hot minute). And we’re sure he doesn’t want us to mention this, but he was also linked to — dun dun dun dunnnn — Paris Hilton.
And, just like that, the19-year-old university student seems like an extremely suitable match.
