‘90210’ Star Ian Ziering Finally Settles Divorce With Ex-Wife After 3 Years

Ian Ziering is finally putting the divorce with his ex-wife, Erin Ziering, behind him after settling their divorce after almost three years.

According to new legal documents, obtained by The Blast, the former couple has entered into a written agreement to end their ongoing divorce, which will include spousal and child support.

As we reported, Erin Ziering filed for divorce way back in November of 2019, and her husband went public a week before about their split. Unfortunately, like many celebrity breakups, these two had several children together and had to negotiate and split their marital assets.

"The parties have entered into a written agreement regarding their property and their marriage or domestic partnership rights, including support, the original of which is being or has been submitted to the court. I request that the court approve the agreement," the document reads.

Interestingly, the document filed was actually a petition for an "uncontested" dissolution of marriage, instead of a straight settlement. It's unclear why the former couple decided to file the legal documents in this manner. But, it appears Ziering (who played Steve on the massive sitcom '90210') is in agreement with ending their ongoing divorce. It should be noted, none of the details of their settlement are public, and it's possible they had a prenuptial agreement that outlines all of the details in case of a breakup.

At this point, a judge will just need to sign off on the agreement.

Back in 2019, Ian announced the couple's split, posting on Instagram, "It is with a heavy heart that I tell you Erin and I are splitting up." Adding, "With our hectic work schedules we could not be busier, and over the last few years have grown apart."

Ian Ziering's Ex-Wife Opens Up About Discussing Divorce With Kids

The actor praised his ex-wife in the post, writing, "one of the most incredible women I have ever met and the best mom to our kids."

Following the split, Erin Ziering opened up about discussing the situation with their young children. "When it comes to the girls, I really try to be honest with them about everything and have open conversations. Since they were babies, I focused on talking to them about their emotions, what they’re feeling," she said.

Adding, "[Every night] we have conversations about what’s going on, what was said at school, how are you feeling, do you have any questions about what’s going on between Mom and Dad? Cause there’s a lot of transitions that I’m going through, and I can only imagine what these little girls are going through at the same time."

In the end, Erin described the former couple's "irreconcilable differences" like this "I think you always know something’s wrong, you can always feel there’s definitely something wrong, and it’s going into the, ‘Have I done what I can do to make this work?’ Or, ‘Do you want to do what you can do to make it work?' If you don’t, or you feel like you already have, what left can you give? Like, what do you have left? -- I didn’t have anything left to give."

We are guessing based on the documents, the couple will share custody of their children.
