“90 Day”: Mary Slams Brandan's 'Mean Girl' Mom and Kimberly Grieves Lack of Intimacy at Her All-Night Wedding

Brandan hoped for peace between his mom and Mary — long time rivals — but the mother offered a swift "that's not happening"

It’s wedding time on 90 Day Fiancé: The Other Way!

Monday night’s episode cataloged one complete wedding and another on the horizon. Kimberly and TJ were ready to take the final steps in their multiple-day wedding festivities, while Brandan and Mary’s guests began arriving for their nuptials. Though tension still existed between both couples, things appeared to be looking up — at least, while they were fantasizing about their futures.

It wasn’t all matrimonial bliss, though. Social media played a huge role in one couple’s drama, possibly changing the course of their relationship.

Here’s what you missed on Monday night’s episode.

Brandan and Mary

Mary and Brandan were two weeks out from their whirlwind wedding, and things finally seemed to be falling into place. The episode began with a shopping trip for the couple, who needed to buy traditional wedding clothing, including a white dress for Mary and a dark red suit for Brandan. Though money was tight, Mary wanted to prioritize their once-in-a-lifetime wedding.

But money wasn't top of Brandan's mind — his mother, who'd made it clear she was no fan of Mary, was en route to the bride-to-be's remote village in the Philippines. “Right now, me and my mom, we're not exactly close," Brandan explained. "We barely talk — maybe once a month at best. My mom’s relationship with Mary is not good at all. They basically hate each other from the start. When my mom comes to the Philippines, I really want her to kind of re-establish a connection with me and to be on good graces with Mary.”

Spoiler: The mom later said "that's not happening.”

While Brandan hoped against hope for a big, happy family affair, the women both agreed to keep a somewhat civil distance (though Mary said Brandan's mom was “being a bitch to me” from the U.S. — and things didn’t appear to change when they met face to face).

“The way she looks at me, like she's so mean, like a mean girl. That’s how I feel,” Mary said in an interview.

As for Brandan's mother, she said in her own interview, “It's that look that I recognize when you don't like someone and you're just pretending to be nice. She has been manipulative. She has isolated my son from me and the rest of his family, and behind closed doors she's going to make my son's life a living hell. And now they're going to be raising a child. I just don't trust her.”

Kimberly and TJ finally became husband and wife!

Because of their birth and marriage charts, the couple officially tied the knot between midnight and 4 a.m., leading to an all-nighter of a wedding. While Kimberly was full of joy on her wedding day (and night), it was anything from traditionally American.

“I feel really excited. I'm going to be with the man I want to spend the rest of my life with. It just seems like a fairy tale coming true,” she said.

That said, one aspect of the ceremony didn't sit right with her amid the festivities: “I feel like if I was to get married in the U.S. it would be more relaxing because I would be able to get married at whatever time I wanted.”

She later clarified her newlywed mindset, explaining, “If I was getting married in the United States right now, the ceremony would be over, the wedding would be over, and I'd probably be having sex right now.”

Instead, Kimberly and TJ danced all night — outside the sheets.

Shekinah and Sarper

Sarper got one more chance from Shekinah’s sister on Monday’s episode. The three went to dinner in an attempt for Sarper to ease tensions that sparked from their first meeting. “I have to give her a better impression before she leaves,” he said. “It's her sister, and I don't want her to be in the middle of fighting. I hope we can smooth things tonight.”

The night began with an apology from Sarper, who admitted he was “being an a--hole.” “I have to change. I know it, for her sake and for our happiness,” he told the sister.

“I just really want to feel that you're somebody who's going to show my sister how much you love her and care about her,” she responded. “And I know, like, it's important for you to feel respected — but it's equally important for her to also have that respect.”

Sarper also took another big step in demonstrating his “good intentions” when he went Instagram-official with Shekinah after long refusing to make their relationship public. He snapped a few photos with Shekinah for the grid, which eased much of her personal frustration about their relationship.

Still, the sister didn’t grant Sarper 100 percent approval. “Honestly, like after last night and seeing the way that Sarper behaved, I'm not going to delete those memories out of my mind,” she said. “What happened was real, and it was concerning to me. It just seems like he’s very immature and has a lot of growth that needs to be done.”

Sarper accepted this warning, saying he’d take her advice “so serious” moving forward.

Kenny and Armando

Kenny and Armando hopped on the baby train during Monday’s episode. They pair officially took steps to secure an egg donor — and what followed was a hilarious scene of the men judging photos with little context.

“We're going through hundreds of pictures of women and judging them off their looks to see if they would be a great fit for us to have a child with,” Kenny explained.

There was some anxiety surrounding the process, which naturally involved a lot of rejection. “I do feel that I'm a little more hesitant to say 'next' because I am always very cautious of not being rude,” Armando said. Kenny spoke up for the both of them.

The nurse who guided them through the process shared that there had been a trend in Kenny and Armando’s choices. Specifically that “they like really tall girls” and that Armando was “really specific with the nose type.”
